Our Story

Built on partnership.

We bring your home to life through focused listening, open communication, and a hands-on approach at every step, so the house you move into is genuinely yours.

Why We Exist

The best homes aren't handed down. They're built together.

Colarelli Custom Homes was founded on a simple conviction: a custom home should reflect the people who live in it, not the builder who built it. Too often, families are handed a finished product and asked to adjust. We do the opposite.

Our hands-on approach, focused listening, and open communication keep you interactive through every step of the build. We work together as partners, ensuring you are informed of every decision from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.

Experience is our foundation, but we let our perspective evolve through every partnership. That's what keeps each home distinctly its own.

The Colarelli Team

What Guides Us

Three commitments behind every build.

We listen first

Our hands-on approach, focused listening, and open communication keep you interactive with every step of the build, never on the outside looking in.

We work as partners

We work together as partners, ensuring you are informed of every decision from the first sketch to the final walkthrough. No surprises. No black boxes.

We let perspective evolve

Experience is our foundation, but we let our perspective evolve through every partnership, so your home is genuinely yours and not a copy of the last one.

The People You'll Build With

You don't hire a company. You meet a team.

A custom home is a long relationship. Here are the people you'll actually work with, in the order you'll meet them, from the first phone call to the day we hand you the keys.

Brett Rankin, Business Development Manager at Colarelli Custom Homes

The first conversation

Brett Rankin

Business Development Manager

The first person you'll talk to. Born and raised in Salida, Brett has watched these mountains fill with people who want to build a life here, so he listens first, tells you honestly whether we're the right fit, and stays your direct line from that call onward.

Marty Brinegar, Manager at Colarelli Custom Homes

Keeping it all moving

Marty Brinegar

Manager

A third-generation home builder, Marty has managed everything from sophisticated remodels to multi-million-dollar custom homes, and keeps the whole operation moving.

Amy Nelson, Lead Designer at Colarelli Custom Homes

Vision & design

Amy Nelson

Lead Designer

Amy turns how you live into how your home looks and feels. She reads your personality and lifestyle into every choice, color, texture, material, light, so the spaces come out unmistakably yours, and functional down to the last detail.

Eric Anderson, Preconstruction Manager at Colarelli Custom Homes

Preconstruction

Eric Anderson

Preconstruction Manager

Before a shovel moves, Eric makes the plan real, organizing the hand-off from design to construction so the build starts on solid ground and stays there. A former business owner, he sweats the details that keep surprises out.

Matt Rasmussen, Superintendent at Colarelli Custom Homes

On site

Matt Rasmussen

Superintendent

Matt runs your jobsite. Twenty years in residential construction, framing, millwork, finish carpentry, and he came up through the trades to superintendent, so he knows what good looks like at every stage and holds the crews to it.

Shane Pogue, Client Manager at Colarelli Custom Homes

Every step in between

Shane Pogue

Client Manager

Shane is your point person from start to finish. A Colorado native with thirty years in the industry, he keeps you in the loop day to day, answering questions, tracking progress, and making sure the experience feels as considered as the home.
